CVCA J-Term Class
January 10, 2014: How fun is this??!! I had the opportunity to host a group of CVCA (Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy) students yesterday as they are learning about sustainability. We had an interactive time of milling wheat and spelt kernels, demonstrating the bread baking process, and discussing the importance of whole grains and how they benefit our bodies. Most importantly, we talked about how we can honor God in our motives to take care of our bodies through the foods we eat. The overall theme of sustainability and being accountable for our food and resources is a passionate topic for me so it was a joy to share some tidbits of what I have been learning and show them the “lost art” that is homemade bread baking.
